It's about time that America's parents woke up to the fact that their kids are being targeted by the radical homosexual movement and took action to protect their offspring from being indoctrinated into the perverted homosexual lifestyle.

In normal times, Americans would be responding to the widespread attacks on the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) with justified outrage, yet the majority seems content to sit back and allow school boards, city and state officials and leaders of private groups to cave in to the demands of radical homosexuals that they take punitive action against the BSA for trying to protect their young membership from infiltration by practicing sodomites whose love for young boys is totally unlike parental love.

In normal times, Americans - especially parents - would be taking punitive action against those pusillanimous cowards who reward organized sodomy and punish good and decent people and organizations who support what has always been the most decent and well-respected youth group in the history of this nation.

In normal times the school officials or city councilmen who dared to eject BSA chapters from public facilities because of the organization's totally lawful ban against homosexuals would have to run for the hills to escape retribution at the hands of an outraged citizenry.

But these are not normal times, and in ovine fashion Americans are allowing the adherents of an unnatural and utterly depraved way of life to run roughshod over them and their rights as parents to shield their children from exposure to false homosexual propaganda and even recruitment.

I don't enjoy harping on this subject. I do not condemn individuals trapped in the tragic homosexual lifestyle and I am totally sympathetic to their plight, but barely a day goes by that some new assault on the nation's moral character does not arise from their radical homosexual activist comrades.

As I wrote last week, the American Medical Association entertained a resolution demanding that the AMA support ending the BSA ban on homosexuals on the absurd grounds that the ban can lead to teen-age suicides by so-called "gay" youths dejected because they are barred from membership.

Now comes the taxpayer-funded Public Broadcasting System with a TV special that is nothing less than outright homosexual propaganda - propaganda you paid for.

Says the Rev. Louis P. Sheldon, chairman of the feisty Traditional Values Coalition (TVC): "The Public Broadcasting System continues to be a pawn of the homosexual movement in its desire to destroy the Boy Scouts. In airing ‘Scouts Honor,’ ... PBS is assaulting a respected American institution and siding with a movement that promotes a deviant sexual lifestyle."

Sheldon explained that "Scouts Honor," is a film about Steven Cozza, a Boy Scout and his Scoutmaster, David Rice, who founded "Scouting for All." The group is determined to overturn the Boy Scouts of America policy against having openly homosexual leaders or members in its organization.

"The leadership of the Boy Scouts has the right to determine its own membership standards," said Sheldon. "The Supreme Court upheld this right last year when it ruled against a former homosexual Scout member. Yet Cozza and his homosexual allies are unwilling to permit the Scouts to have high moral standards."

Sheldon insists that the BSA leadership is rightfully concerned about homosexuals molesting the boys under their care. "Two weeks ago, a homosexual Scout leader in Muncie, Indiana, was arrested for molesting as many as five boys," said Sheldon. "The Scouts' leadership wants to protect boys from potential child molesters, yet Cozza would force homosexuals into leadership positions within the Scouts.

"If a heterosexual young man wanted to be a Girl Scout or Brownie leader, most people would be concerned about his sexual intentions," said Sheldon. "We should have an equal concern for homosexuals when they indicate a desire to be Boy Scout leaders. Men who wish to have sex with men should not have access to young boys."

Sheldon says that the American people "should understand that homosexual sex results in the spread of sexually transmitted diseases and AIDS. This is not a healthy lifestyle, and Boy Scouts should be shielded from this perverted behavior."

Last week the members of the District of Columbia's Human Rights Commission thumbed their noses at the United States Supreme Court and ordered a local BSA group to readmit two practicing sodomites who had been tossed out of the organization - an action in line with the Supreme Court's ruling that the BSA has the right to dictate the terms and conditions of membership in the organization.

These arrogant scofflaws even had the temerity to order the local BSA chapter to pay a total of $100,000 to the two men for the inconvenience they suffered as a result of their ousters.

Then there are the continuing attacks against the Boy Scouts now coming from United Way organizations, some of which are removing local BSA groups from their charitable rolls, and those effete liberals in the United States Senate who are siding with homosexuals against the Scouts. This full-scale war against traditional morality is gaining steam daily. They're coming at us from all directions - even from the classrooms.

Most serious is the position the National Education Association is planning to take when the NEA meets in Los Angeles to create what Linda Harvey, founder of Mission: America, calls "a sweeping set of measures to fast-track homosexuality even more swiftly into our nation's schools." Remember, this is the largest and most powerful teachers' group in the nation - these are the people who teach your kids and have them in the care, custody and control the better part of every school day.

As Harvey points out, much of what goes on in the classrooms dominated by NEA members has nothing to do with reading, writing and arithmetic, and everything to do with such subjects as the alleged legitimacy of the sodomitic lifestyle (try it, you might like it - after all, it's all a matter of your right to choose buggery, isn't it?), opposition to which is described as bigotry or even "hate" - a term used by the left to describe anything that disagrees with its absurd beliefs and anti-Christian, anti-democratic doctrines.

I'm not kidding about this. What is happening now is nothing less than a full-scale attack on the parents of America and their children. Failure to wake up now - and rise up against the organized sodomites - will result in a tragedy Americans will regret for generations to come.

Remember, it's your kids they're after - and like Greeks bearing gifts, their hands are full of such goodies for their youthful targets as AIDS, and the remorseless guilt that is inherent in the very non-gay, gay lifestyle.
