http://www.illinoisleader.comRev. Jesse Jackson made controversial statements concerning the president and the war in Iraq last week. Proft describes Jackson as, "...a serial hypocrite, profligate adulterer, shameless extortionist, racist, false prophet, and exploitation artist who is without peer."

OPINION -- Enough is enough.

The “Reverend” Jesse Jackson is many things, and virtually all of them are repugnant.

He’s a serial hypocrite, profligate adulterer, shameless extortionist, racist, false prophet, and exploitation artist who is without peer.

Now we can add traitor to the list.

Jesse Jackson has essentially called America’s military men and women serving in Iraq “murderers” and implied that he would support UN military action against the United States.

The Boston Herald reported that Jackson believes the United Nations should consider sanctioning the United States for its decision to “murder all these people (Iraqis) on faulty information,” calling the U.S. invasion of Iraq “a crime against humanity.”

Jackson continued, “I’m not sure the U.N. has the power to act against us (the United States) in a military way, but they have a right to make a moral judgment...we should have hearings...then, actions are determined.”

Look out President Bush, Jesse’s aiming to bring Kofi Annan and a battalion of blue berets ashore to bring your administration to “justice.”

Only someone as spiritually adrift as Jackson could, with a straight face, suggest looking to the UN for moral guidance.

Like Sen. Chris Dodd’s (D-CT) homage to former KKK organizer Sen. Robert Byrd (D-WV) a couple weeks back, Jackson’s comments have been noticeably underreported.

No surprise in Chicago where our weak-kneed media lapdogs and aloof politicians have been complicit in Jackson’s shakedown and exploitation racket for decades.

For gosh sakes, the Chicago Sun-Times publishes regular columns by this infernal race-hustling, poverty-pimp whose every vile breath defiles the term “Reverend.”

To date, 28 Illinoisans have sacrificed their lives in honorable service to the cause of freedom and human dignity.

Those noble concepts are, of course, foreign to Jackson. He’s too busy making a mockery of them while preening for the cameras like the five-dollar whore that he is.

It’s time Jackson’s hometown and native state lead the nation in putting an end to his exploitation syndicate.

That goes for the cowered corporations who finance him; the otherwise legitimate media who broadcast or print whatever vomit comes out of his mouth; and the politicians that look the other way.

Of course, at this point, there are so many corporations and CEOs and opinion leaders in civic, business and political life that have been Jackson accomplices that engineering a boycott of all of the enterprises who have played a part in the ascension of this street criminal is not practical.

Rather, I would suggest employing one of Jesse’s favorite tactics.

Freedom-loving people should stage a pro-America, pro-American troops rally in front of Operation Rainbow/PUSH headquarters to support our military men and women and their families and to denounce Jackson’s traitorous statements. It’s time we boycott Jesse.

Call it the “We Shall Overcome…Jesse” rally.

Jackson is free to say what he wants to say, but not with impunity. It’s about time someone attached consequences to his rhetoric.

Write to us at info@illinoisleader.com with suggestions for pithy, rhyming Jesse-esque slogans ideal for placards to express your particular fondness for the good “Reverend” and your sincere fondness for the troops.

And stay tuned . . .
