When things don't make sense follow the money. That is a common pearl of wisdom.
The educational system hasn't made sense for the last 30 years. More and more money keeps getting thrown at an education that is measurably getting worse. During the Civil War the average child quit school in the 4th to 6th grades from one room school houses. Yet these children were literate and already versed in some of the great books of the time. And the teacher was the school's only employee and was lowly paid but highly respected.
More money is being spent now on education in America than in all the rest of history. The result? Today's graduates don't read well, can't think coherent thoughts or write them on paper, cannot do simple arithmetic, and graduate from class to class by "social promotion".
The teachers are equally problematic. Typical teachers graduate in the lowest third of the college classes. Tests of teachers in the last 30 years have shown a steady decline in the mastery of the subjects they are supposed to be teaching to students. In addition, the programs used to produce teachers are now forcing prospective teachers into all types of politically correct coursework designed to indoctrinate them into Orwellian "newthinking".
And behind all of this is the NEA: The National Education Association. This is the national teachers union. Its role has been to enrich itself at the expense of the education of America's youth.
The NEA is a criminal enterprise. I make that statement based on several years worth of reading and a rational assessment of actual product, educated youth, versus what they state as their purpose. The NEA is a tool of the Democratic Party; it is the DNC's largest and most powerful contributor by far. The NEA has literally thousands of offices in communities spanning the USA. They use these offices to help coordinate and fund election campaigns for Democrats only, and only those who promise to use the phrase "we need more money 'for the children' in school".
In fact, school teachers are the poorest paid of all the professionals. Yet with all the gigantic funding of schools, literally in the tens of BILLIONS, it is common for teachers to have to buy chalk, paper, and pencils for their students. They tell me that the school's budget doesn't have any left over for these cheap, basic products. The schools often can't even supply up to date books for the kids.
The only part of schools that get better and better funding is the bureaucratic class who are not enhancing the student's education. And these bureaucrats are often functionaries of the NEA. And the NEA union officals often make $80,000 to over $100,000 for their activities.
So why is it that the union officials get so much money and the teachers so little? Ever read "Animal House"? Read it, you'll get the answer. And read the information found in the following links.
