Never has a movie generated more controversy in Hollyweird and more support among the Christian based religions than Mel Gibson's "The Passion of the Christ".
In the last couple years the left wing establishment has fawned over the meaning of "Piss Christ"; a crucifix in a bottle of urine. The sophisticated left-wing extremists defended a picture of the Madonna covered with elephant dung. The Democrap socialists have bent over backwards using moral equivalence to say that Wahabi Mohammadism is just as good as other religions.
Mel Gibson's movie career has been a long string of successful and often introspective movies. He's made a lot of money for Hollywood's studios. As long as he stayed away from religion everything was fine.
Everything changed for him when he felt a calling to make a movie truthful to the Gospel of Christ's Passion. Suddenly the whole left-wing Democrap establishment put up a massive attack on his efforts to get the movie made. The first thing was he couldn't find any Hollyweird big wigs to finance the movie. He pulled the money out of his own pocket to pay the actors and crew, the machinery of movie making, travel, and much more. He had trouble finding actors to take the parts. There was no money for television promotional spots. The major theater chains and the country of France refused to show or distribute his movie.
The only source of real information became conservative talk radio and the Internet. Remarkably, in spite of a major effort to Blacklist him, smear him, impune his incredible movie, and even use his own father against him his effort paid off. Viewing by the millions of Faithful resulted in one of the largest movie openings of ANY kind in history. In just 3 days it sold over $117 million in ticket sales after opening on Ash Wednesday, February 25th, 2004. Mel Gibson then boycotted the Oscars the next week although his movie was the talk of the world. He was too busy making appearances to bother with the sickening Hollyweird crowd.
