Cow tracking ..........Is it just me or does anyone else find it absolutely amazing that the U.S. government can track a cow born in Canada almost three years ago, right to the stall where she sleeps in the state of Washington, and determine exactly what that cow ate. They can also track her calves right to their stalls, and tell you what kind of feed they ate.
But they are unable to locate 11 million illegal aliens wandering around in our country, including people that are trying to blow up important structures in the U.S.
My solution is to give every illegal alien a cow as soon as they enter the country. Yes!
Immigration....my family came from Europe. I almost married a wonderful woman from Mexico. I have mixed feelings about this subject because of the many wonderful people I've met from Mexico who were hard working, honest, and faithful to their families. Imagine an American going somewhere to earn his living and sending all his money home to his family for years and years. He visits home one or two times a year and wonders at how quickly his children are growing while his skin becomes leathery from the hard toil in a foreign country. Now, forget the American in this story, it doesn't happen. In some ways, these people that come here are more honorable than our run of the mill rap listening politically correct indoctrinated mushbrain. In Mexico and the Philippiines the money sent home by the people working overseas is a huge part of the economy. I've worked for years with the Philippine nurses and they are a remarkable group, mostly women, who remain faithful to their families back home. The people from Mexico generally are poor and uneducated and generally are men. What they have in common is the Catholic faith and badly run countries. And they understand the meaning of Freedom.
Recently however a new group of immigrants has shown up in our cities that are terribly destructive. They are lured into the drug seller's lifestyle: the quick and easy money, loose women, cars, and lax law enforcement. The lax law enforcement is a direct result of Democrats that love criminals enough to prevent the laws on the books from being enforced. It gets me sick to see the evil that this spawns. I've been in favor of handling drugs in a Libertarian way for most of my life. This means that you are free to do as you wish with your life as long as it doesn't hurt others. If you want to take drugs, fine. But completely remove the massive safety net that supports their habit. If you wind up broke with ruined health and live in the gutter that was your choice. And when you are ready to clean up your life, fine, but no government handouts, just simple charity like it was in America a century ago. It would eliminate the immense ridiculous profits from the drug trade, taxes could be made on the sale of the now legal recreational drugs and people could take them or leave them as they wished. And the workers from Mexico would not be tempted by the jerks that now prey on them. Frankly from what I can tell the people that benefit the most are the stupid lying criminal defense attorneys. They are an incredible powerful political lobby to keep the laws as they are. Can you imagine tens of thousands of unemployed criminal defense attorneys out of work if drugs became legal?
Anyway there are many ways to view immigrants. But one thing is certain: unlimited immigration can kill a country. This is where I break with the insane "open borders" advocated by the Libertarian Party. It sounds good in theory but in practice it would wreak the country. Here's some articles to make you think.
