Cooking, Kitchen and Dining Links

Back to Bob's Links Page

Refrigerator Links You can go to any regular appliance store and find a lot of the usual stuff. On the Refrigerator Links I've assembled some unusual ones primarily based on the most efficient ones I can find. Very interesting too, some don't have fans and operate SILENTLY! Also they use, in some cases, just a little more energy than a light bulb! These are worth your look because they can do the same job a regular fridge can do but pay for themselves over and over in the energy savings.

Hand Mixers: Can't Live Without Them. Do you have one arm lots bigger and stronger than the other? If you do it's a sure sign that you're working too hard mixing things by hand in the kitchen. Recently my wife made the point that most of the things she mixes in the kitchen don't need a full sized beater to mix. Naturally that meant that I needed to do some research on the subject. On this link I'll provide you with the same information that I found and you will probably come to a decision to buy the Braun instead of the Cuisinart or the KitchenAid like I did. RESULTS: TERRIFIC PRODUCT! Get the Braun 4-1 hand mixer! I've had ours now about a week and it surpasses any other hand mixer I've ever owned! The beaters whipped a single egg-white into foam that the KitchenAid hand mixer couldn't touch. And the chopper is much easier and faster to use than my big Cuisinart! The plunge blender is terrific! But please, since I already put the page together take a look at it too.....

Bread Mixers: Do You Love Fresh Bread? Ok folks, I'm gonna walk you into the one area of the website that will profoundly please your tastebuds while it expands your equator! I've made bread by hand kneading for years. I finally sprung for the 14 cup Cuisinart food processor that has the "Dough" button. I've made a lot of bread with it but last week....SPROING! the dough blade broke a tiny lock washer inside the blade's middle and it just jumped right out of the flour I was mixing prior to adding the other ingredients. The rest of the machine is fine but let's be real about it, it's not a real bread making machine. So I'm going to find out everything I can, within reason of course, about REAL bread machines and you can find out all about it here.

Apple Corers So you want to peel apples? Core them too? So did I so naturally I decided to list a bunch for you to enjoy reading about. But really, do you need to know this much about apple corers? If you do you've come to the right place.

They have good discounts on the new Cybernox© non-stick cookware by Sitram. This is the best non-stick frypan surface ever made. It is baked on to the 18/10 stainless pan at 20,000° (!) in a process used by the aerospace industry. The country of France holds the patent. It never wears out, period. It can stand temperatures of 1,800° without damage. The surface is so tough that you can use Brillo pads to clean it if you ever wanted to. A comment I found on website is that what may eventually appear as scratches when analyzed turn out to be deposits of softer metals used in cooking the foods! This was from using metal forks and so forth when stirring the foods. These are probably the finest frypans in the world currently and are commensurately expensive. They are guaranteed for life, period. They can be used in the oven, under a broiler, and are dishwasher safe.
Dvorson's Food Service Equipment, Inc. in San Francisco also carries the Sitram Cybernox locally.
