Arlen Specter's Letter asking for money & showing his left-wing roots

Bob's Note: Below is a letter written by Arlen Specter in May 15, 1995 during the Clinton Administration. In this letter he uses many of the same descriptions used by the Clintons in a technique they developed called "the Politics of Personal Destruction".

The first part of this offensive letter bomb involves labelling pro-choice Republicans with emotion laden terms. These are used to demonize his "opponents" and include wording such as, "blunt threat", "religious conservative", "blackmailed", "strident anti-choice language" and other similar epithets.

He also distorts and lies about the intentions of others such as former Senator Dole saying they want to "criminalize" abortion. Abortion is a legal procedure; no actions were being made to make it illegal. The idea was to remove government funding of the procedure since it's an elective procedure. It is not the same as a mandatory removal of a life threatening cancer tumor.

Carrying a pregnancy to term and delivering healthy babies has been the norm since mammals first tread upon the Earth. Abortions do happen naturally. Abortion in humans however are generally not natural and are commonly used for the convenience of the mother, not because the pregnancy threatens her life. It is an elective procedure just as is a facelift, liposuction, or breast implants. These latter treatments are paid for by the patients because they contain a percieved value to the person buying these services. Abortions also contain a percieved value and should also be paid for by the patient just as the other elective surgeries.

Arlen Specter, in common with his left-wing extremist Democrap friends, has used it as a wedge issue to demonize members of his own party for his own personal gain, ie: the intent of the following letters is to raise money for his own use by trying to destroy the careers of others and demonizing the Christian religion. I find his "Politics of Personal Destruction" disgusting and Clintonesque. I hope this letter of his will convince you to write your local elected dictator and protest Arlen Spector's extreme views and prevent him from attaining any position of importance in the Republican Party, most recently following the reelection of GW Bush, the Chairmanship of the Judiciary Committee, where he could do a lot of damage.
